Vortex 2000 Filter (submersible or out of pond filter)
For ponds up to 2000 gallons. Water enters the vortex outer chamber via a multi-stage hosetail inlet fitting for pumps from 250 to 1200 GPH. The water spins, traveling up the chamber and allowing heavier particles to fall and be removed, From the top the water flows down through 3 foam pads in the center chamber and into the biomedia aquarock for further filtration, natural buffering and nitrification. It finally passes back up through the inner tubing and exits the filter at the outlet near the top. This allows a large part of the filter to be buried, making it easier to hide in the landscape.
