3 Phase Inverter Panels

Allows three phase pumps to be used with single phase power.

Most residential settings do not have 3 phase power available which eliminates the use of most large pumps which are only available in 3 phase.  These new inverters allow you to use a 3 phase pump when only single phase power is available.

Our 'electronic phase converter' permits easy and efficient conversion from single to three phase power thus allowing use of more efficient and reliable three phase motors.  In it's simplest application, 230 volt single phase power is connected to the EPC input and three phase motor leads are connected to the output.  When the 230 volt source is turned on, the motor begins accelerating up to full speed in about 5 seconds.

Three phase motors have several cost saving advantages over single phase motors:

• More reliable and rugged than single phase motors - less maintenance and repair costs than single phase motors

• More efficient than single phase motors - often as much as 10% more energy efficient

• Simple construction with only a single moving part - few moving parts reduces wear, increases longevity

• Longer life than single phase motors - three phase motors often run for twice the life span of a single phase motor

Our phase inverter panels offer the following:

• NEMA 3R enclosed, for indoor or outdoor use

• No light dimming in rush current

• Soft start and stop to prevent belt slippage, water hammer and other mechanical and hydraulic problems caused by uncontrolled torque effects

• No loss of torque or higher power consumption as is the case with other phase conversion methods

• Superior overload protection

• Ability to run motors slower than rated speeds (and in some cases, faster than rated speed)

• Senses faults (short circuits) and shuts down in microseconds (and in some cases, faster than rated speed).

• Takes place of multi-speed motors or special valving when used for water effects

• The cost of installing three phase power in many cases is prohibitive, however utilization of our single phase to three phase electronic phase converter panel, along with three phase submersible pumps offers all of the above advantages.
