Power Control Center
The new power control center eliminates the need for an electrician in many installations.
UL listed control panel has a 50' power cord with standard 115 v. plug. Now
you can operate pumps, UVs, fountains, and underwater lights safely and easily with one
unit!
- Left two 115v plugs are GFI protected and operate off a digital timer. It's ideal
for spitters, fountains, etc.
- Center two 115v plugs are GFI protected and have a constant power supply which is ideal
for pumps, UVs, etc.
- Right side is low voltage transformer for underwater lights. GFI transformer is
rated for 150 watts.
- All in a weather resistant enclosure for outdoor use!

In-line GFI The
national electric code requires a GFI (ground fault interupter) to be used on all fountain
equipment and submersible water pumps above 15 volts. A GFI provides protection
against electrocution in case of an electrical short in the water. This handy, UL
listed, extension cord style GFI is 24" long, rated for outdoor use and has an
automatic reset. We strongly recommend this GFI on all 115v pumps and fountains
drawing less than 15 amps.

Phase Inverter Panels
It is a well-known fact that 3 phase motors offer many advantages over single phase
motors. The problem is that 3 phase power is usually only available in commercial
settings, therefore eliminating the use of these pumps in residential and light commercial
settings. These phase inverter panels allow you to operate 3 phase motors when only
single phase is available. The 'electronic phase converter' (EPC) permits easy and
efficient conversion from single to three-phase power thus allowing use of more efficient
and reliable three phase motors. In its simplest application, 230 volt single phase
power is connected to the EPC input and three phase motor leads are connected to the
output. When the 230 volt source is turned on, the motor begins accelerating up to
full speed in about 5 seconds.Three phase motors have several saving advantages over
single phase motors. They are:
- more reliable and rugged
- They have less maintenance and repair costs
- More efficient, often saving as much as 10% energy
- Simple construction with only a single moving part thus reducing wear and increases
longevity
- Longer life than single phase with some units running twice the life span of a single
phase motor.
Our Phase Inverter Panels offer the following:
- NEMA 3R enclosed, for indoor or outdoor use
- No light dimming in rush current
- Soft start and soft stop to prevent belt slippage, water hammer and other mechanical and
hydraulic problems caused by uncontrolled torque effects.
- No loss of torque or higher power consumption as is the case with other phase conversion
methods.
- Superior overload protection.
- Ability to run motors slower than rated speeds (and in some cases, faster than rated
speed).
- Senses faults (short circuits) and shuts down in micro-seconds to prevent irreparable
motor damage.
- Takes place of multi-speed motors or special valving when used for water effects.
- The cost of installng three phase power in many cases is prohibitive, however
utilization of our single phase to three phase electonic phase converter panel, along with
three phase submersible pumps offrs all of the above advantages.
Note: A
phase inverter may seem expensive until you realize the savings in power and increased
life. A 3 HP motor can save up to $423.00 per year in electrical savings alone!
